Bladesystem

Bladesystem Matrix is a software solution based on the following components:

This seems to be nothing more than a bundle.  Perhaps HP realized companies were sick of being nickled-and-dimed with each extra software package to make use of their enterprise systems.  That having been said, this is a nice bundle — management through the proverbial “single pane of glass.”  It gives you full visibility, configuration, management and workflows over your entire environment of pooled servers, storage and network resources used by your HP Bladesystems.

Ideal uses:

  • IT consolidation platform
  • data center transformation, utility compute
  • service providers – dedicated, virtual and cloud
  • test/dev automation
  • internal cloud/compute pool

Only two virtual environments are recognized –> VMware and Hyper-V

This was another short one for me – I bailed when I realized the presenter was basically reading the slides and I could probably read all about it on my own time from the website.
