Viva Las Vegas

Welcome to Las Vegas

Arriving in Las Vegas was like walking into a casino.  No, really.  The area just beyond the airport gates are filled with slot machines, and you get the sense that everything about this city and state is about gambling.  As my eyes wander across all the people in airport, I wonder to myself about which ones are here to gamble.  In fact, I can’t think of any other reason to come to Las Vegas.

Except of course if you’re like me, and are here to participate in the HP Technology Forum.  I’m really looking forward to the sessions on EVA storage.  Of course it’s not ALL fun and games.  I’ve been invited to join some HP guys at the Aureole restaurant Monday night, an HP IO Accelerator launch party hosted by The Woz himself on Tuesday, and Wednesday night is a concert starring Roger Daltry and The Goo Goo Dolls.

How am I going to get any work done?  I really hope I find time to get to the beach.  Stay tuned for juicy technology updates.  At least, I hope they’re juicy.
