Fart proudly!

Look at me, I'm farting!

Friends, I don’t have much to share with you today.

Actually… scratch that.  Work has been overwhelming lately, and I have tons of information to post, but just can’t bring myself to do it.

However, I do have a nice gem, and it’s one of my favorite quotes.

“Let every fart count as a peal of thunder for liberty. Let every fart remind the nation of how much it has let pass out of its control. So fart, and if you must, fart often. But always fart without apology. Fart for freedom, fart for liberty… and fart proudly!”

Benjamin Franklin

This is the man with his face on our $100 bill!  Most commonly known for his quotes, such as “A penny saved is a penny earned.”  And for hanging a key on a kite in an electrical storm.  And inventing the pot-belly stove…

But he was far more than that… The man was HILARIOUS.  If you want to find out more about him, I recommend this book from my library: “Fart Proudly: Writings of Benjamin Franklin You Never Read in School.”  It’s a fairly quick read at only 128 pages, but it will give you far more insight into this brilliant man than you ever got in your high school senior year history class.
